Subcategories

There are several subcatagories within Light v Darkness. Some examples of these are the hero, the shadow, the tower, heaven v hell, and good v evil. Each has aspects within it that relates it to light v darkness.

  1. The Hero - Represents the lighter side of the world. He/she always does good within the world. A great example is Luke Skywalker from the Star Wars series. He is using the Force (the light side) to fight the Sith (the dark side).
  2. The Shadow - Goes hand-in-hand with the devil figure. This is the worthy opponent to the hero. He/she is fighting for the dark side of life. Again with the Star Wars example, Darth Vader is fighting for the dark side. He is also clad completely in black, which is a good representation of a shadow.
  3. The Tower - This is the stronghold of evil, or the dark side of life. This is the quote unquote hideout of the evil figure. In Star Wars, this is the Death Star.
  4. Heaven v Hell - These are the dwellings of the primordial forces within the world. In the Christian faith, God is represented by light, and the Devil is represented by darkness. This is the greatest battle within the world, and it all comes down to the battle between light and darkness.
  5. Good v Evil - Closely related to heaven v hell. Light has always been represented by the good in the world, and darkness as evil.
